Discover l’île de beauté

Corsica is nickname l’île de beauté (the island of beauty) and for good reasons. Every beach or mountain feels like a little piece of paradise! The white sand beaches and coves can be crowded in the summer season but if you book a last minute Corsica getaway, you will feel a bit outside of the real world. Visit the little villages perched on steep hillsides or take a hike in the mountains or vineyards.

Visit Ajaccio

Ajaccio is the capital of the south of Corsica and hometown of famous Corsican Napoleon Bonaparte. His childhood home can be visited and is now called the Bonaparte Museum, where you will see objects of his early life and learn more about the history of Corsica. Bonifacio is another town to be visited. Located on the southern tip of the island, it is a picturesque fortified town nestling on high cliffs. Visit its fortress and enjoy the view on the sea and on the Lavezzi Islands. Porto-Vecchio is another great destination for Corsica weekend breaks. It is the perfect weekend beach getaway as it boasts some of the prettiest beaches of the island : Palombaggia, Santa Giulia and Rondinara are the 3 main beaches of the area. Porto-Vecchio is also close to the mountains and is a great starting point for a hike to Plateau du Coscione.
