Alpe d'Huez, famous for its 21 bends, is an essential stage in the Tour de France. Each bend marks the rider's effort over 14 km and 1120 m of ascent. On average, almost 400 cyclists climb this mountain every day.

We spent a wonderful week in Alpe d’Huez and had a fantastic stay at Pierre & Vacances Residence L’Ours Blanc. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, always helpful and pleasant.
The location is excellent, right in the centre ...and just a short walk from restaurants, shops, and activities such as the swimming pool and the ice skating rink, which made everything very convenient.
The apartment was very well equipped. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, and it was great to have both a filter coffee machine and an espresso machine available. The living room was comfortable and spacious, with a TV and a nice area to relax after a day out. The residence also has self service laundry facilities, which was very convenient during our stay.
Overall, it was a very comfortable and practical place to stay and it really added to our experience in Alpe d’Huez. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.
