    Arc 1950 Le Village

Arc 1950 is the newest among the resorts of Les Arcs. In this mountain village surrounded by nature, you can breathe deep. No cars are allowed in the village, and everyone can move at their own pace in this entirely pedestrian ski resort. Here you can relax in its many leisure areas between ski sessions! Saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools are part of everyday life in Arc 1950.

Numerous events offer you the opportunity to share great moments with family or friends. A real breath of fresh air at the gates of the Vanoise National.

  • Ice Groto

    Ice Groto

The magnificent Ice Cave in Les Arcs is an artificial cave cut into more than 10 000m3 of artificial snow. This ephemeral phenomenon, which is open only in winter, takes a different theme each year. Discover this veritable work of art which sees a dozen sculptors from all over Europe come and create their own works of art each year. Stroll through these galleries which have been dug out and shaped by man, taking almost 100 days each year to prefect! Don't miss this rather special mountain wonder.

  • Golf Le Chantel

    Golf Le Chantel

The Chantel Golf Course is one of the two golf courses of Les Arcs. Overlooking the Tarentaise, this 18 hole course is enhanced by breathtaking views of the ski area and Mont Blanc.

Its varied terrain is an opportunity for golfers to work the full range of their shots: drive, putting, swing…

Experienced players will find it a high quality course to challenge their skills, beginners will also find it suited to their needs.

  • Palais de la Mine

    Palais de la Mine

The Monts d'Argent mine, also known as the Palais de la Mine, was the headquarters of the French Mining School, before it is transferred to Paris. 70 engineers were trained here.

Discovered in 1644, the mine site was operated until 1866. The mine site features a museum trail, complete with explanatory panels.

Visitors can learn all about the history of mining lead-silver and its historical role in the Peisey-Nancroix valley.

  • Vulmix village

    Vulmix village

Located at 1.5 km from the centre of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the small village of Vulmix is an ideal location for many recreational activities.

It's just 5 minutes from the Les Arcs funicular and close to the ski slopes for winter skiing. In summer, the village Vulmix is the starting point for some beautiful hikes into the mountains. Explore the Vanoise park, or the Mont Blanc Massif. Beautiful landscapes and the great outdoors encourage the desire to get away from it all.

Vulmix village is also located near several white-water sites featuring kayaking, canyoning or rafting. Thrill seekers will be spoiled for choice!
