Antibes used to be a defensive town so don’t forget to visit Fort Carré, a fortress built in the 17th century by Vauban as the first line of defence against the county of Nice. The view is amazing! Also designed by Vauban, The Bastion Saint-André is now the exhibition space for Antibes’ historical artefacts
