Location Veneto

Welcome to the Venetian Riviera

Venice is indeed one of the top-selling destinations in Italy. However, the region of Veneto, also known as the Venetian Riviera, is much more than just Venice. Located in the North-East of Italy, the region offers splendid panoramas, with the Dolomite mountain range and the Adriatic Sea.

Last minute Veneto holidays by the beach

The Venetian Riviera is ideal to both visit the cities of Venice and of Verona, and relax by the beach. The Lido, which is located a few kilometres away from the city by water-bus, offers beautiful sandy beaches. The area also offers an easy access to the historical islands such as Murano or Burano.

Short breaks to Veneto and Venice

Venice is a UNESCO protected site and it is easily understandable: with its lagoon and canal system, the romantic city is a once in a lifetime experience. A weekend in Veneto is the most romantic trip you can offer to your significant other. Visit the beautiful grounds of Saint Mark’s square, the Basilica San Marco and its famous Campanile. You can climb to the top and enjoy the view of the city. Visiting Venice will not be the same without a ride on one of the famous Gondola boat, don’t forget to check out the Rialto Bridge.

Visiting Verona

Veneto weekend breaks are also great to discover the city of Verona, hometown to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city features a well-preserved Roman amphitheatre . The city also has a beautiful architectural heritage, with Medieval, Renaissance and Rococo buildings. You will be able to admire the Casa di Giulietta, dating back to the 14th century, as well as Romeo’s house, now a private home, and Juliet’s tomb. Verona is also a great destination to enjoy a vibrant nightlife, with bars and clubs located in the city centre.
