The Le Pic du Midi residence is located in the higher part of La Mongie, a family resort in the Grand Tourmalet ski area of the French Pyrenees.
It comprises 10 little buildings with stone and wood façades that blend harmoniously into the environment. The extremely comfortable apartments are all south facing and come with a balcony or terrace, ...giving you views of the mountains.
The residence gives you free access to a heated indoor pool with a water jet area. A fitness area is also provided and features a sauna, hammam and fitness studio. There is also a closed undercover car park.
Children's clubs for ages 4 to 12 and teen clubs for ages 13 to 17 (free) in the complex in July/August, half days. For children up to age 3, the Piou-Piou nursery is 850 m away. Daytime entertainment for adults is available throughout the season.
The centre of the resort is 800 metres away and has all the services and shops you need, including restaurants, bars and grocery stores.
La Mongie is a dream for hikers and lovers of nature and the great outdoors.
Head for the heights and venture up to the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, a vast balcony at 2,877 metres above sea level, offering panoramic views of the entire Pyrenees mountain range. Visit its museum and planetarium, the highest in Europe.
Don't miss out on any of these specialities: black Bigorre pork, tomme cheese, the traditional spit-roast cake and ewe's milk cheeses are sure to delight you!
The mountains offer a multitude of activities for all tastes and ages: white water sports, via ferrata and climbing, treetop adventure course, paragliding and hang gliding, hiking, t trail running, and mountain carting. There's plenty to keep you ...entertained!
Set off on a hike in an idyllic setting among forests, streams, rivers and lakes. Enjoy a visit to the caves of Saint-Lary-Soulan, located just a few kilometres away.
