Le Crotoy is famous for its harbour seals, which can be seen at low tide. Protected by a dyke and locks, the hunting basin prevents silting up and provides a natural habitat for these marine mammals.
Don't miss out on some of Le Crotoy's delicious seafood, including mussels, oysters, prawns and fresh fish. The local restaurants will delight you, unless you prefer to go fishing on foot!
In Le Crotoy, choose between windsurfing, canoeing, bodyboarding, wakeboarding or kitesurfing. It's a popular kitesurfing destination in France, especially for beginners, thanks to its large beach and calm water at high tide.
Near the Bay of the Somme, the Parc du Marquenterre offers a rich biodiversity of dunes, forests, marshes and meadows. Ideal for observing a wide variety of flora and fauna, it is a favourite place for migratory wild birds to live and stop off.
