A beautiful location, but the upkeep doesn't live up to the price.

We stayed for a week in August at Pierre & Vacances in Le Crotoy, in a 6-person, 2-bedroom house on pitch 32. We really appreciated its slightly secluded location: very quiet, a lovely little garden, no overlooking neighbors, and above all, no constant traffic in front of the house. I highly recommend this area of the resort.

The small duplex house is very charming, quite well-equipped, and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool, the immediate proximity to the sea, and of course Le Crotoy, which is a very pleasant resort. The staff is also a real plus: a very friendly welcome and helpful, pleasant teams.

A word of advice: definitely book a space in the underground car park, because parking in Le Crotoy in the middle of August can quickly become difficult!

Unfortunately, the major drawback, once again with Pierre & Vacances, remains the cleaning and especially the maintenance of the accommodations. Both of our toilets reeked of urine, and it was impossible to get rid of it. We also noticed signs of dampness and mold, and when it rained, water leaked under the patio door. It's clear that some of the equipment and accommodations are starting to show their age and are in dire need of renovation.

At over €2,000 a week, this level of maintenance is hardly acceptable and explains my 3-star rating.

It's a shame, because the resort has so much to offer. We might return, perhaps choosing one of the few houses with a sea view, but Pierre & Vacances really needs to improve the cleaning and maintenance of its accommodations to ensure the service lives up to the prices charged.

The residence is very well located and the parking is super convenient for getting around on foot. The staff are very friendly, as are the pools. The interior design is what you'd expect from a P&V, quite high quality. However, be wary of the photos; the apartment you booked might not be on a higher floor. Apartment 19 is poorly located; I don't recommend it (exterior passageway/close quarters, bedroom overlooking a busy corridor).

Ideally located by the sea in Le Crotoy, with the town center just steps away, and cycle paths offering a unique and liberating way to explore the coast. Don't forget the little train of the Bay of Somme – a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

Drawn by the aparthotel concept offered by Pierre & Vacances, we spent a week in this very pleasant residence, located in Le Crotoy, in the Bay of Somme. Just steps from shops and restaurants, the south-facing residence enjoys an ideal exposure overlooking the bay. The apartments are functional and well-equipped.

First of all, this review is only good for people who have visited at least 3-5 4 stars hotels, and is written from a perspective of a 14 year child.
Also worth to mention is that because this review didn't fit in the main text, some parts of it are in the "Rooms" and "Nearby activities" sections.

So first of all, the staff. There isn't even really much of it, but they are at least smiling. The receptionist helps with most of the things, though the English in the whole hotel is bad. And if you ask him/her a more difficult question, there is quite a big chance they don't know the answer, and an even bigger chance they don't understand what you mean. But furthermore, staff is friendly and does not interfere and tries to help.

Also, there are a lot of design flaws. For example, in the main bedroom, on the side of the door, there isn't much space between the bed and the wall. And you mostly go there if you want to get out of your room. And exactly there, there are 2 metal hooks for "jackets and robes", and you will hit your head there every time you walk at night or in the dark, for example to the toilet. About that, there was green cleaning liquid in it when we arrived, and you had to flush it yourself. The problem was, that it was a bit dried on, and with a normal flush it didn't get off. That isn't really an issue, but worth to mention. The whole residence is a bit old, but it's still okay without any broken things, and if you are not too critical, you won't notice most of it.

Important to mention is, that since 2016, it is prohibited to swim in the sea here, but no one mentions or says it. And a lot of people just swim there. We didn't know it up to the fifth day. You can see more info at their website, where I now sadly can't find the link of.
The kitchen area is also enough with a big enough fridge and microwave and a dishwasher. You will enjoy your stay here because of the daily walks and things like that. But, much longer then 5 days will be hard, because then you will have done most of the things in the neighbourhood.

So all in all this hotel is okay, even if staying for a week. But I think it is a bit too expensive for what it really is.
