    Pyrénées 2000

    The Font-Romeu Pyrénées 2000 ski area comprises 54km of downhill skiing pistes ranging between altitudes of 1800 and 2200m. The 500 snow canons ensure there is always snow.

    All levels and all tastes are catered for, with pistes of all levels, as well as cross-country skiing, snowshoe walks and toboggan runs. In Font-Romeu Pyrénées 2000 everyone from families with young children to expert skiers and snowboarders can find their own level and a rhythm that suits them.

    Une Touche de Vie - Hôtel Carlit

    Within the Carlit hotel, Anne Huret offers various types of massage, designed for relaxation and letting go.
    All massages are carried out using organic vegetable oil and essential oils.
    Stress management, muscle relief, circulatory comfort, hot stone, earth and sky (head and foot), and touche de vie (full body) massages are all on offer to suit your needs.

    Héliodyssée - Grand Four Solaire d'Odeillo

    The first construction of its kind in the world and one of the largest, the Odeillo Solar Furnace is located in Font-Romeu. Commissioned in 1970, this huge oven features a large concave mirror composed of 9,130 facets of 50cm aside.

    The light penetrates, after being reflected on the 63 mirror planes facing it, enabling the furnace to reach temperatures in excess of 3000 °. These 63 mirrors are called Heliostats and each surface is 45m ². Like glass sunflowers, they are oriented to follow the sun's path. The tour allows visitors to witness an impressive demonstration in collaboration with the sun.

    Citadelle de Mont-Louis - Fortifications de Vauban

    Listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site, the Mont-Louis Citadel is one of Vauban's most remarkable fortifications. Mont-Louis also has the distinction of being the highest fortified town in France, as it is located at an altitude of 1,600m.

    Between the walls of the citadel lies the Saint-Louis church, built between 1733 and 1737, and the convicts' prison built by Vauban. Visitors can extend the tour with a walk around the village to take in the local shops. Hikers will also be delighted with the mountain trails that lead through Pyrenean landscapes.

  • Les Angles Animal Park

    Les Angles Animal Park

    Explore the 37-hectare Animal Park at Les Angles, located between 1700 and 1800 metres above sea level. In this natural and protected setting, visitors can discover the wildlife that inhabits the area, as well as the animals that are no longer there. Keep your eyes peeled so you can spot the mountain fauna, including brown bears, wolves, wild boar, roe, wild sheep, chamois, marmots, mountain goats, bison, reindeer and deer.
