    Centre Juno Beach

Discover the only Canadian Museum in Normandy. The June Beach Centre was built to honour all the brave Canadians who distinguished themselves during the Second World War. It also presents different facets of contemporary Canadian society.

Through commemorative ceremonies, conferences, concerts and various exhibitions, visitors can learn all about Canadian society. The museum, part of which is a virtual experience, takes you into the heart of the Canadian military role during the war in order to understand how the duty of remembrance is essential to a country which contributed to the Allied victory.

  • Château de Fontaine-Henry

    Château de Fontaine-Henry

This magnificent Renaissance residence has belonged to the same family for 800 years. The rooms on the ground floor house a fine collection of antique furniture and paintings. The chapel dates from the 13th and 16th centuries. Two of the most unique aspects of the château de Fontaine-Henry are its very high roofs and its richly sculpted facade.

A tea room and an antique games room are a treat to enjoy after your guided tour, which is available in several languages.

  • Musée du Débarquement d'Arromanches - D Day Museum

Musée du Débarquement d'Arromanches - D Day Museum

It's only natural that the Musée du Débarquement chose to establish itself in Arromanches. It was in fact here that the artificial harbour was implanted that would allow the allies to spread through France following D-Day!

Visitors to the museum can learn all about the project's origins with the aid of models and a view from the museum of the remains of the port. Several films also assist in explaining how the port operated during that critical period.

  • Arromanches 360

    Arromanches 360

Located at the top of Arromanches, this circular cinema dominates the last vestiges of two artificial harbours installed by Allied forces during World War II. Take the opportunity to learn about the D-Day landings in an unusual way, through the history of the liberation of the city.

The film The Price of Freedom, projected onto nine screens in a circular room, allows you to discover an amazing technical process combining archival footage and current images. This 360° projection immerses you in the heart of the action along the pontoons of Arromanches and in the bunkers, in order that the visitor can better understand the events of this historic day.
