This beautiful building was built between 1987 and 1994 by Dr D. Esteban Martín Martín. With the help of two masons he contructed a building that tells the story of the discovery of America and the New World by Christopher Colombus, an idea that marries the historical element with architectural beauty. The Colomares Castle Monument reflects the fusion of styles of the Spanish Middle Ages: Gothic, Romanesque and Moorish. In other words, this building is a stone tribute to Christopher Columbus and his discovery that undeniably changed the world.
