Imagine a ski slopes which extends over 100 km and peaks in 2 500 m, with 68 slopes!

Culminating at 2 877 metres, the pic du Midi de Bigorre remains one of the most visited natural sites in the region (alongside the cirque de Gavarnie). One of the reasons this peak is so well-known is the scientific observatory located at its summit; it was actually from this point that than NASA was able to map out the lunar surface.

The Vielle-Aure Mining Museum is a unique site in the Pyrenees and an important place for French mineralogy. In this place full of memories, you can discover: an ancient mining site for manganese extraction with preserved and landscaped exteriors, and an authentic mountain mine that’s been reconstructed with a sound and light trail with commentary in French, English and Spanish. Pic Lumière Cable Car
First opened in 1956, the pic Lumière cable car takes fifty people at a time up to the Pla d'Adet, at an altitude of 1,700 metres.
With its alternating movement, the cable car ensures a comfortable trip. In total, the cable car travels a distance of 850 metres.
Once you have arrived, take in the stunning panoramic view all around you. From the Pla d'Adet, walks and bike rides offer the opportunity to explore the area, or you could try paragliding in the summer; while in winter the snowy slopes are yours to enjoy.
