Isola 2000 is a French ski resort located in the southern French Alps. As one of the stations du Mercantour, it is only 90 kilometres away from Nice on the French Riviera, so the destination is ideal both during the ski season and for summer mountain holidays.

Skiing in Isola 2000

The resort currently offers a 120 kilometre skiing domain consisting of 2 main ski areas with a total of 43 slopes ( 7 green, 21 blue, 11 red and 4 black slopes). Since the resort is 2000 metres high, it is one of the highest in the Alps and as a result, one of the most snow covered. In addition to natural snow, over 210 snow cannons guarantee that you will have the perfect conditions to ski during your February half term holidays!

Summer season in the Mercantour

Isola 2000 is also a great family destination in the summer season. The proximity of Nice and the French Riviera makes it a nice spot to enjoy summer mountain activities as well as visiting the beautiful and sunny destinations in Provence. Hiking is definitely a family activity you will love but if you want to get creative, you can try the Forest Trail Isoliane with over 48 activities on 3 different runs, both for adults and younger kids. The Mercantour gondola works in the summer time and will carry you as high as 2350 metres to discover the amazing view on the valley and start hikes or mountain bike trail.
