Croatia is an amazing destination, both as a couple or with the whole family. Located along the Mediterranean Sea, the Croatian coastline benefits from a high number of days of sunshine per year, with hot and dry summers and mild winters. Croatia is also a top destination for short breaks holidays as getting in Istria is a 2 hour flight from the UK ! A great destination choice to escape from cold and rainy days !
The peninsula of Istria is an ideal setting for relaxing holidays. Located alongside the Adriatic Sea, Istria always offers something spectacular to see. If you enjoy cultural visits for your Istria holidays, don’t forget to check out the town of Pula: its 1st century Roman amphitheatre could accommodate up to 20,000 spectators. The town of Rovinj is a must-see as well, with the incredible cathedral of Saint Euphemia, dominated the whole town. The town of Labin will take you back in the past with its picturesque medieval streets…. And it is just a few of the names of where to stay in Istria !
If you are looking for Istria apartments close to the beach, check out Brijuni National Park: made of 14 islands, full of roman ruins and dinosaur remains, it will be a pleasant boat ride and a trip close to heaven with the crystal-clear water of the Adriatic Sea. The park is close to our residences in Umag. In Istria, most of the beaches are rocky but you will also find some sandy beaches in Baska, on Kirk Island. The water is so clear that water sports such as snorkelling or scuba diving are very popular.
