    Pic Lumière Cable Car

    First opened in 1956, the pic Lumière cable car takes fifty people at a time up to the Pla d'Adet, at an altitude of 1,700 metres.

    With its alternating movement, the cable car ensures a comfortable trip.
    In total, the cable car travels a distance of 850 metres.

    Once you have arrived, take in the stunning panoramic view all around you. From the Pla d'Adet, walks and bike rides offer the opportunity to explore the area, or you could try paragliding in the summer; while in winter the snowy slopes are yours to enjoy.

  • Le P'tit d'Ens

    Le P'tit d'Ens

    Le P'tit d'Ens was the nickname given to Francis Porte, breeder and cheese maker in Vallée d'Aure, by his grandmother. He took over the work of his uncle and created the cheese dairy of the same name, in the small mountain village of Ens.

    Today he has several hundred goats, on land cultivated with care. Here, you can taste 3 types of cheese: tome de brebis, blue, and ... P'tit d'Ens, of course (a soft cheese)! You can buy products from the farm at the end of the day, or meet the producer at the region’s different local markets.

    Vielle-Aure Mining Museum

    The Vielle-Aure Mining Museum is a unique site in the Pyrenees and an important place for French mineralogy. In this place full of memories, you can discover: an ancient mining site for manganese extraction with preserved and landscaped exteriors, and an authentic mountain mine that’s been reconstructed with a sound and light trail with commentary in French, English and Spanish. The museum covers geology, mineralogy and history through a large collection of objects and documents.
