The city itself offers over 30 churches to visit, including Saint Donat Church, one of the best preserved pre-romanesque buildings in the world.
Zadar area is renowned for its crystal-clear waters as well as the archipelago with a multitude of small islands to discover. Borik beach is only 4 kilometres from the city centre and accessible by bus. It is a family-friendly beach with a shallow bay and sandy bottom. It also offers many activities for children such as pools, slides and entertainment facilities. Just outside of town, Kolovare beach is the traditional town beach. It is a popular beach with many attractions as well as shops, bars and restaurants.
