This resort is highly recommended. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and, with their park-like appearance, greatly enhance the surroundings. Our room was modernly furnished and very clean. It was a bit cramped for four people, but this is certainly partly justified by ...the fair price.
The ladies at reception were always exceptionally friendly. Communication in English was intuitive and easy. The entire process, including key handover and return, was straightforward. Questions were always answered readily, and even when there was a minor issue with our door, they were very helpful and assured us it would be resolved quickly.
An apartment with a sea view would definitely be recommended, as the other apartments face the outer edges of the resort (see picture 1). As a result, our apartment was relatively dark, and the balcony only received three hours of sun per day, making it less than ideal to spend time indoors during the day. However, the furnishings, and especially the modern bathroom, left nothing to be desired.
It must be said that the resort is somewhat secluded. To be able to do any decent shopping, a car is essential, especially in the off-season. You also absolutely need four good tires for worthwhile excursions; otherwise, things get boring quickly outside of peak season.
One final comment, which has absolutely nothing to do with the truly lovely resort itself, but unfortunately really spoiled our vacation: The locals and staff in the surrounding area are incredibly unfriendly and reserved. On the third day, we switched to an anonymous, contactless vacation because no one in the supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, etc., was capable of being even remotely friendly. We were always greeted with dismissive stares and dealt with so rudely and disinterestedly that we avoided all contact outside the resort. Anyone used to vacations in, for example, Greece or Italy, should be prepared for cold personalities and head-shaking encounters at exorbitant prices. We experienced no warm hospitality whatsoever, except within the resort itself. We've never experienced anything like this before, and we won't be tempting fate again; this will definitely be our last holiday in France.
To reiterate: This has nothing to do with the resort itself! But you should be aware of this when booking your accommodation.
