  • Rue du Bassin

    Rue du Bassin

The route begins at the sign located between the campsite and the stork park and will take you on a highly original discovery of wine and vineyards. Along the way, explanatory signs will introduce you to the region's seven grape varieties and teach you about the work of the winegrowers throughout the seasons.

You will also discover the two Grands Crus Eichberg and Pfersigberg, their geology and enjoy a magnificent panorama over Eguisheim.

  • The Three Castles of Eguisheim

    The Three Castles of Eguisheim

The 3 castles of Husseren-les-Châteaux stand out extraordinarily in the landscape. Head off on a walk of approximately 10 kilometres, over 3 hours with a 370m height difference to reach the summit. Built between the 11th and the 13th century, 3 keeps remain today which, at the time, formed a single castle. Once you have reached the summit, you will discover a view over the plains which is worth the effort.

A historical monument, the castle continued to be restored from the mid-nineteenth century on. And from the top of its hill, sheltered by the ramparts, the Hohlandsbourg continues to write its history.

  • Eglise Saint-Matthieu, Church of St Matthew

Eglise Saint-Matthieu, Church of St Matthew

This Franciscan church dedicated to St Matthew, dates from the late 13th century. Its architecture, representative of that of the mendicant orders, benefited a few years ago from a careful restoration project which enabled the church to regain its original state.

Thanks to its astonishing acoustic qualities, the protestant church plays host to numerous concerts each year, including several held as part of the Colmar International Music Festival.

  • Musée d'Unterlinden

    Musée d'Unterlinden

Located in the former Dominican convent, the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar is a Fine Arts museum that notably conserves collections of paintings and sculptures dating from the Rhine in the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance, folk traditions and Modern Art.

The key work of the Unterlinden Museum is the Isenheim Altarpiece, painted by Mathias Grünewald and sculpted by Nicolas Haguenau in the first quarter of the sixteenth century. A major piece in the history of art...
