      Rue du Bassin

      The route begins at the sign located between the campsite and the stork park and will take you on a highly original discovery of wine and vineyards. Along the way, explanatory signs will introduce you to the region's seven grape varieties and teach you about the work of the winegrowers throughout the seasons.

      You will also discover the two Grands Crus Eichberg and Pfersigberg, their geology and enjoy a magnificent panorama over Eguisheim.

      The 3 castles of Husseren-les-Châteaux stand out extraordinarily in the landscape. Head off on a walk of approximately 10 kilometres, over 3 hours with a 370m height difference to reach the summit. Built between the 11th and the 13th century, 3 keeps remain today which, at the time, formed a single castle. Once you have reached the summit, you will discover a view over the plains which is worth the effort.

      The Château du Hohlandsbourg, symbol of Habsburg policies in Alsace, is one of the largest monuments left by the family in Alsace. Even if it was abandoned after the Thirty Years War, it still largely reflects the splendour associated with this family, who participated in the great historical theatre of Europe.

      A historical monument, the castle continued to be restored from the mid-nineteenth century on. And from the top of its hill, sheltered by the ramparts, the Hohlandsbourg continues to write its history.

      Located in the former Dominican convent, the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar is a Fine Arts museum that notably conserves collections of paintings and sculptures dating from the Rhine in the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance, folk traditions and Modern Art.

      Musée Bartholdi

      Dedicated to the creator of the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Bartholdi Museum in Colmar is located in the artist's birthplace. In the course of a tour of the rooms, visitors can view sketches, models, sculptures, drawings, photographs and paintings by Auguste Bartholdi (1834-1904). This talented sculptor also produced the Bartholdi Fountain in the Place Bellecour in Lyon, the Belfort Lion and the equestrian statue of Vercingetorix in Clermont-Ferrand.
