      Haliotika, La Cité de la Pêche

      In Haliotika, dive into the world of modern fishermen. This "Cité de la Pêche" is located in Guilvinec: France's leading port in terms of the number of sailors, with over 400 men and women boarding a hundred boats.
      Kids and adults are immersed in the daily life of two fishermen and follow the fish's journey "from the sea to your plate" over an 800m22 exhibition.
      By visiting the auction house, you will witnesses the auctioning of fish live to professional buyers. As a family, don't miss the treasure hunt, the workshops and even the introduction to gathering seafood by hand.

      Place de la Petite Sole

      If you want to learn more about fishing and fishermen, the Guilvinec-Léchiagat Fisherman Heritage route will enlighten you. Over the course of your route, you will learn the history of this place which has become one of the largest French fresh fishing ports.

      During the tour, you can see many figures of well known fisherman, Etienne le Brun, Marc Le Faou, Augustine Le Gall and Daniel Carrot, who will teach you more about the history that was created on site.

      This promenade can be done on foot or by bike. It starts in the market town of Penmarc'h and the most daring can go all the way to the Port of Guilvinec.

      You can take the coastal path, without major difficulties and admire the panoramic view of the ocean and the étocs, this group of rocks on the coast.

      The path will lead you in front of the Kérity church, the monument to the Resistance in the Second World War and even the Tumulus de Poulguen. Push on to the Port of Guilvinec, one of the first French small-scale fishing ports.

      L'Atelier de Bagotine

      L'Atelier de Bagotine has been around since 2007. Jacqueline Bigot wanted to combine her passion for geology with her interest in plastic arts. She therefore decided to create jewellery made only from natural materials and fine stones.
      Since 2012, in addition to the workshop, you can access a Creators space, where the creations of other artisans are exhibited and sold.

      Guilvinec stone site route

      To discover the religious, archaeological and civic heritage of Guilvinec, go on a discovery walk of approximately 5 kilometres.
      The route starts on the municipal path. You then head to the Grève-Blanche beach, the chapel and the Saint-Trémeur fountain, the bread oven, le menhir de Lanvar and the Lanvar fountain. The château de Kergoz will complete this stroll in the heart of Guilvinec.
