This is a simple credit card pre-autorisation that many hotels, residences and even car rental agencies practice...As well, it is explicitly stipulated that pets are not allowed in our residences.

You seem to have been affected by a semblance of rudeness which was not the case as I was here and offered you a Wi-Fi connection, the possibility to stay with a discounted additional cost for your dog (40 euros instead of 75 euros) and finally an assistance to find an hotel accepting pets. At the end, you finally declined these solutions before leaving and apologizing for this misunderstanding.
