Our stay at this ski-in, ski-out apartment in Meribel Motteret was perfectly suited to our needs. Situated right on the slopes, accessing the mountain was incredibly convenient, and the presence of a funicular made exploring the town and snow front hassle-free.

The apartment itself was generally well-appointed, with the added bonus of a dishwasher, which was a lifesaver after long days on the slopes. The ski room provided ample storage space, though additional seating would have been a welcome addition. The balcony views were absolutely brilliant, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains.

However, it's worth noting that while the apartment was advertised as "premium," it may have been a slight overstatement. Furthermore, it's worth noting that if the apartment were filled to capacity, it would likely feel overcrowded, as the space seemed better suited for smaller groups. Nonetheless, it was still a good place to stay.

We did encounter a few minor issues during our stay. Firstly, there was a discrepancy in the quoted price for parking, though the matter was eventually resolved after some negotiation. Additionally, the condition of the room was not pristine, with noticeable wear and stains on the bedsheets.

The layout of the corridors, which felt more exposed to the elements than enclosed, was a minor concern but ultimately manageable. We were fortunate not to experience any major disruptions with the funicular during our stay, although we acknowledge its potential unreliability could pose problems for future guests.

Navigating the narrow carpark, especially the upper portion, required caution. Despite these minor setbacks, our stay was enjoyable, and we appreciated the convenience and location of the apartment.

I don’t understand why the name “premium”, there is nothing premium, parking is not included in the price and there is not enough for all the rooms, the reception is not 24/7, the rooms are small, the doors of most of the rooms open directly onto the street and therefore in cold weather it is very uncomfortable to enter room (immediately the room is filled with frosty air). out of 7 days, the elevator to the ski lifts did not work for 2 days and on another day, unexpectedly in the afternoon it was closed for several hours. Without a lift, you have to walk uphill to the hotel with skis for 20-30 minutes. The slope that leads to the hotel belongs to the “red” slopes. in general, a maximum of 3* and no “premium”...

Pierre Vacances took deposit money and in spite of everything being well It is now more than 6 days since our check out and we still do not have the money from the deposit. They also do not reply to our emails.

Unfortunately it is very difficult for us to recommend these apartments to anyone.

Great value during summer time. The location and the 2 bedrooms apartment were perfect for us, family of 4.
Kitchen was well equipped and we could handle a dinner for 8 people when we invited our travel company to the apartment.

The standard is good on a 3, 4 star level and the funicular took us down to the small village in no time at all.

Definitely not a 4 star residence -- makes no sense to call it that. It's just your regular aparthotel complex with a reception and a laundry room, more like 2 stars, which is perfectly fine!

Very decent rooms. Location is excellent, and there is an elevator that takes you straight into town where there are ski rental shops and a little supermarket.

Short of a 5 star review due to a few shortcomings:

The room cleaning is not quite up to standard -- we found lots of dust on shelves and a sock left by the previous renters. It's a ski resort, and cleaning is likely done by your average seasonnaire, so I wasn't expecting the highest standard of cleanliness anyway :)

The laundry room (supposedly) closes when the reception does (8pm) which limits the time it can be used after a ski-day to just a few hours. The machine is broken and doesn't take debit cards, which means trekking to the nearest ATM to get euros, which then have to be converted to coins in the reception. The reception is aware that the machine does not take payment cards but there didn't seem to be any urgency to fix it.

Our apartment didn't really have any good place to store ski jackets, shoes, etc -- just a few coat hooks by the door. It's such a small quality of life upgrade to be able to hang away wet ski gear or put muddy shoes so it doesn't drip all over the living room floor. I sometimes wonder if the people designing these apartments reflect on what they'll be used for... :)
