Throughout our stay at Origo Mare, our air conditioning unit leaked nightly basically flooding our room - reception staff insisted it had been fixed daily but this wasn’t the case. Alternative rooms were not offered. I have to say, rather disappointing stay compared to others here. The place seems to be rather run down, not well managed, despite the price point.

All walkways and road networks around the ‘resort’ are crumbling causing tripping hazards. Most of the smaller pools amongst the ‘villas’ are closed and empty, the only open one has large holes at the bottom and sharp edges.

Most of the chairs and sun loungers (indoor and outdoor) are broken, if you’re over the age of 10 then you’d likely fall through half of them.

The bathrooms flood after every shower, our shower in particular had a broken shower head so water just sprays everywhere.

Most of the public toilet facilities are either broken or disgustingly dirty.

Origo Mare, I have already submitted a formal complaint via my travel agent and have requested a partial refund for the absolute unliveable conditions we had to stay in. (A flooded and uncleaned room!!!)

I wouldn’t stay here again.

I was robbed inside my room at Pierre & Vacances at night Fuerteventura even though all doors were closed. All my credit cards, passports, and belongings were stolen. The theft was repirted to the hotel and the police immediately, some of my cards were also used to make purchases inside the hotel before blocking them. Banks are now investigating. The experience caused me significant financial and emotional stress, we were left without money or ID. The person who stole my belongings seems to be very familiar with the layout of the hotel. urge others to be extremely careful and hide your belongings in the safe if you have a booking soon. Stay safe!

Stayed for 10 days - everything is just... OK. Food, service, rooms, quality of entertainment - it's really let down with the resources - staff looked to be pushed to their limit. Never been to an all inclusive where so much food has run out! Guess you get what you pay for!

Avoid at ALL Costs – This Place Should Be Demolished

Where do I even start? This isn’t just a bad hotel — it’s an absolute disgrace. Calling it a "resort" is laughable. If you’re considering staying here, do yourself a favour: don’t. Honestly, pitching a tent on the side of a motorway would be a better experience than what we endured here.

THE GOOD:

There are zero good points. Nothing. Not even the weather could save this disaster.

THE BAD:

Staff:

The staff are hands down the rudest I’ve ever encountered. Especially the bar staff — Mauricio in particular. Asked politely for a tray to carry drinks and got treated like I’d insulted his family. His attitude? Disgusting. Spitting in my face might’ve actually been more respectful.

Tried to complain to a so-called “manager” named Carla. First told she’d be available at 09:30 — spoiler: she wasn’t. Tried FIVE more times to speak with her that day. Guess what? She magically disappeared every time. Either she doesn’t exist or management just couldn’t care less.

Food:

Calling it “food” is generous. It’s cold, stale, repetitive slop. If you enjoy scraping the bottom of a school canteen bin, you’ll love it. Chefs couldn’t fry an egg if their lives depended on it. Meat was so overcooked it could survive a nuclear blast, and veg was boiled into oblivion — may as well drink it through a straw. Tables never cleaned, glasses always run out, and staff act like you're bothering them by even asking for a drink.

Pool & Amenities:

The pool is filthy and falling apart. “Wave machine”? More like mild burping noise machine. Loungers are ancient — you’d be more comfortable lying on broken concrete. Towels? €5 each and you don’t get that back — daylight robbery. Oh, and guess what? “All inclusive” is a lie. Most things cost extra and aren’t cheap either. Total scam.

Accommodation:

Stayed in their so-called VIP villas. If that was VIP, then a prison cell is 5-star. Beds were rock solid, sheets like sandpaper, and don’t expect cleaning — the room wasn’t touched once all week. Asked reception and they just shrugged and laughed like it was a joke. Place was crumbling, damp, and outdated. I'd be scared to see the condition of their standard rooms.

The Other Guests:

If your idea of a relaxing break is being surrounded by screaming kids, drunk adults fighting, people stealing and swearing all day, then congratulations — you’ve found your paradise. Honestly felt like a live-action episode of Shameless. Absolute zoo.

BOTTOM LINE: Yes, this is a budget holiday — but even for cheap, basic expectations should still be met. Like being treated with basic human decency and not being served leftovers from the underworld. The entire place needs shutting down and rebuilding from scratch — preferably under new management who don’t think guests are a nuisance.

Wouldn’t return if it were free. Wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Spend your money elsewhere and avoid this hellhole at all costs.
