Take note, if you're thinking of staying here you will have to contact them in advance so that you can park your car in the resident's car park. We didn't realise this as it isn't prominently displayed on the website and isn't offered as one of the options to pay for in advance. On arrival the woman in reception was very rude to us, I've been to Spain many times before and never been treated like this. She was rude and unhelpful, almost aggressive. She threatened to call the police if we didn't remove our car from the car park immediately! We spent the whole week worried about the hire car getting damaged as it was parked on the street in town, some way from the villa. No idea why we weren't allowed to park in the car park as it was empty for most of the week. Every day we had to walk down the hill and into town to find the car and on returning had to spend ages driving round town looking for somewhere to park and then walk back up the hill to the villa. As I was with my 76 year old father and 12 year old daughters this was a big hassle for us. It's a shame that this experience spoiled our holiday. Don't get me wrong, Tossa is a beautiful place and all the other local people we met went out of their way to make us feel welcome, just don't expect the same welcome at Villa Romana!
Dear Sir, first of all I want to thanks you for choosing our residence in Tossa during your visit in our Village. We're very sad because your visit was not so excellent that you and all of us desired. Concierning the incident in the parking, we want to clarify two points. First, it's told in our website taht we have a private parking and this service is with an additional cost. As we only have a few parking places, not enought for all our customers, we can not prebook them. Parking places are under availability when you check in. Second, all the incident at the parking was because you find out the parking gate openend and you decided to park inside, taking a place of a customer who previously took it when checked in. And you didn't told anything to our Front Desk. It's like if you arrives to our residence, find out a room's door open and decide by yourself to take this room. Exactly the same. Of course you can find empty placesduring the day or night... our customers use to drive arround with their car and not all the places are occupied during all the day. When we checked that we have an extra car inside our parking and we discovered this car was yours, we kindly asked you to move it from the parking. At this moment you said "no" and you decided not to move the car under any situation. At this moment was when our kindly recepctionist notify you that if you persist in your attitude, we must call to the tow service to remove it. Then you decided to move your car. You know that we have a loading area in our residence. You can arrive there without problem with your car and passegenrs can get on and off the car there...and this loading are is much more closer to the residence than the parking. From the loading area you don't have to walk to the rooms, from the parking area you must walk up the hill for 20 seconds. When our parking is full, our customers can park in the parking below to us, just in front the Police Station. It's much more safe than our parking because that's the Police's parking too and it's only 20 metres distance from us.. I'm very sorry, but your oppinion doesn't match exactly whit the situation we had at the residence. Yours sincerely Albert Buesa Manager P&V Tossa de Mar
Was disappointed by our apartment considering the high rating. For >200 Euros per night, I would have expected much better. Disappointed by cleanliness and condition of Bathroom. Sofa bed was in poor condition so slept poorly. Maybe we got a lemon for a room and others might be better ones like in the pictures. Good location and pool was very nice. If staff weren't Friendly I, I would have given this 2/5.
Dear Sir, first of all I want to thanks you for choosing our residence during your visit in Tossa and the opportunity to share with all of us your opinions. We hope to see you again here in Tossa de Mar and make your stay much more comfortable than the last time. Hasta pronto! Albert Buesa Director P&V Tossa de Mar
Furniture is required to be renew. The sofa has strong nasty smell of cleaning or anti-ants chemical. Our room has large and good terrace with sea view. It's was very comfort to have a breakfast and dinner. But there is two noisy conditioner external block there. First is our (it's not a problem), but second from next floor, and it's not good idea. Location is good, There is small but usable pool.
Stayed at the Pierre & Vacances Villa Romana apartments for 14 nights. Lovely location. Within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. Very close to bus station. Staff were friendly and efficient and moved us to an apartment with a sea view when requested which was definitely worth the extra €50. We found that the broadband worked fine despite some other reviews indicating a poor signal. Quite a steep hill when walking back to the apartment but worth it for the views. First time staying at P&V apartments but we were impressed by the value and facilities and would definitely stay with them again.

We, an elderly couple, enjoyed our stay in Villa Romana and Tossa de Mar. The hotel complex is still a little bit in the finishing stage, especially the parking area. But the rooms were nice and up to P&V standards. Especially the personnel was serviceminded and helpful also having a good command of English.
