Among the considerable assets of the resort:
- A sunny ski area of 165 km, which ensures varied sensations throughout the day, particularly thanks to unexpected landscapes and connections between Doucy, the Col de la Madeleine and Saint-François-Longchamp.
- Never overcrowded, therefore secure slopes, due to the km of slopes (165) to number of beds ratio.
- Many beginners’ areas, on which significant investments are made every year. The Pirates Village in the heart of the slopes, offers attractions for young children (roundabouts, can knock down, secret passages, slides, giant spider...). The child friendly areas (snowpark, boardercross…) were designed to live attractive experiences safely. Other example: a pirates way, of blue classification, that presents pirate figurines, banked turn

Valmorel French Ski School
At the Valmorel French Ski School, 160 instructors offer lessons to suit all levels of ability.
A wide range of activities are available: alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, and "handiski" for people with disabilities, as well as "snake gliss" sledging, tandem paragliding, airboarding, fatbike outings and trapper evenings.
There's something for everyone! Toddlers, children, teens and adults will all find something to enjoy.
Valmo'Branch is an activity park located in Valmorel. Over a hundred workshops are available throughout the park, for young and old alike, with three courses opened specially for children under 10. Visitors can come and have a go at the zip lines, giant nets, slides, and more. All the courses offer various levels of intensity and difficulty, making them suitable for all.
Snake Gliss Airboard
The Valmorel ski resort has set up a host of exciting recreational activities for both adults and children, to be enjoyed as family or with friends. Organised by the ESF (French Ski School), there's the Snake Gliss downhill toboggan run, a snake-like sledge that zigzags across the snow. You can also choose to go down on an Airboard, a giant inflatable sledge. These activities take place in the evening after the slopes close.
Via ferrata at Levassaix and Le Cochet
The via ferrata courses of Levassaix and Le Cochet are both located near the resort of Les Menuires. They are climbing courses built on mountain slopes and cliffs, offering a compromise between walking and climbing. You are attached by your gear to metal rungs and a steel safety cable to guide you along the length of the course. Both of these courses set off from Saint Martin de Belleville. You can do this activity alone or with a mountain guide.
Moûtiers St. Peters' Cathedral
The site which is occupied by the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre in Moutiers has housed a religious building there since the 5th century. Constructed by master masons from the Lombard region, it reflects the artisan skills of these pioneers of the Roman art of masonry. The building also includes a gothic doorway and a baroque dome.
In the interior of the cathedral you'll find a remarkable polychrome entombment scene dating from the 16th century.
