In the heart of the Ardèche, the Musée Alphonse Daudet, dedicated to the traditions of the Ardèche, recounts the history of silk and the Ardèche of yesteryear. The Mas de la Vignasse in Saint-Alban-Auriolles was purchased in the middle of the seventeenth century by Alphonse Daudet's maternal family and maintained by subsequent generations until 1936.
The Alphonse Daudet Museum opened to the public in 1953, and presents a collection of the daily life and the savoir faire of the Ardèche (shelling chestnuts, reeling silk, baking bread, weaving plants, etc.).
One of the most breathtaking natural sites in France are undoubtedly the Gorges of Ardèche. The Pont d'Arc is a natural entrance to the gorges that extend over 30km as far as Saint-Martin d'Ardèche.

Admire the Cirque de la Madeleine, where
the river's course makes an abrupt 180-degree turn. Cross the Pont d'Arc and its 60m wide arch, and then experience a thrilling descent by kayak.
