«Ski at Le Tikal»
Very good option for family with children and pets. Good location in the village. Quiet, comfortable, good size rooms, shops and restaurants are very close. Parking available, ski room at each floor and exit to the slop from the hotel door.
«Terrible stay in Le Tikal»
The place is located in a nice area for ski in and out. If you expect to get good service dont go there! We had a terrible experience with the hotel trying to charge us for a broken window and wasting a few hours in total for 3 days straight coming back to explain to different people (first the receptionist, second day the reception manager Charlotte, and then the hotel manager on the third day) Drunk people who threw snowballs at our window, broke the outside part of our double sided window. The first time we went to the reception we were told that we will be charged for it without asking what happened. When we were told to come back the second day we were told its our fault and we are layable for it. we took photos and had a recorded call with the police and that still didnt help much. We were told that it looks like we broke it from the inside (mind that only the outer side of the window was broken while the inside part was intact) when we tried to explain everything we got giggles from charlotte. When we were told to come back again the next day we were even more fraustrated. When we came back we found out that we were already charged 451 eur on the credit card. Charlotte said that the hotel manager isnt there and there is nothing to do. My friend then started yelling and only then the hotel manager showed up(he was in the back the whole time). He also said that we will be charged, and after arguing and yelling and lots of frustration we were told that the charge cannot be cancelled and we will be given the amount in cash. That didnt help much because we lost around 40 eur because of credit card commission rates and exchange rate when we have to exchange to our local currency. We explained that and were told that its either we take what they offer or get nothing and be charged. I would never come back again to this residence.
«Service and communication was poor»
On arrival the booked room was not provided with lining and sheets (though this was announced. There should have been a hairdryer in the romm. Not... we had to go to the desk and ask for one. (that didn't work ...) and had to bring it back withing 24 hours ??? Hello Service ?? Further there is a SPa, OK, basic but clean. At the desk pricing was 10 €/ person. In the P&V info brochure thee pricing was 7,5 € or 36 €/ 6 visits. Over 40% cheaper!! When we claimed this at the desk they just told us it was pricing of last year, Yea..right! You must keeep claiming that price, they are legally bound to give you that price. So P&V rips you off when you're too friendly or if you don't read their own brochures. Sorry P&V Val Thorens. You won't see us again. Val Tho is wonderfull for skiing, but there are other appartments where you get more value for money!
It is very noisy during all the night. impossible to sleep as the sleping rooms are located next to the sters with music and parties in the other rooms. and we were charged 100 EUR for losing the key of the room in the slopes.
«Christmas at Le Tikal»
Spent Christmas at the Le Tikal Apartments in Val Thorens. Had a wonderful time. The apartments are very well located and access to slopes shops and restaurants is extremely convenient. Reception opening hours are limited but Chaya was so helpful- we will be back
