There was a little commotion with our late arrival (turns out, the reception desk is open from 8a.m. to 8p.m.) and the emergency number displayed for situations like this didn't work. The receptionist lady was super kind the next morning, she didn't know what could've happened and seemed genuinely concerned about the situation and apologized for what was clearly not her (or the hotel's) fault. Anyway, the room was perfectly clean and cozy, the insulation is great (we didn't even need the AC, though it's true it was unusually cool for July), and the hotel is very close to the metro, so all the sights are easily accessible. Nice for a 3-star hotel, if not for noisy guests in the ground floor rooms, which can be annoying at times.

⭐ 1 star – Extremely disappointing experience

I had a last-minute family emergency—my young son became very sick and I had to cancel our trip to Barcelona, including our stay at Pierre et Vacances. I reached out to kindly ask for a free cancellation or even just to change the dates. Both requests were flatly refused.

Despite my situation, I was told I would lose almost everything over $600 in cancellation fees and only receive about $80 back. In the end, I was forced to cancel, but even then, I was unable to do it online because they had blocked the option. I was then marked as a "no-show" and lost the full amount.

When I contacted customer service to explain that I was unable to cancel, I was told it wasn’t their responsibility and that I should contact the booking site despite the fact that they had full control the day before. It felt like being bounced around with no help or accountability.

This experience was not only financially unfair but also incredibly stressful during an already difficult time. I am very disappointed in how this was handled. It felt dishonest and heartless. I would strongly caution others before booking with Pierre et Vacances.

The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I extended my stay a couple of times, and they assisted me wonderfully each time. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is also in a great location."

Very friendly and well english speaking staff, extremely well adjusted rooms. Very clean, VERY spacious, lots of electronics (kettle, microwave, toaster, hair fan...) 10/10.
