Had a lovely week chill out here.
Room was big enough for the 2 of us with a fab sea and marina view.
Hotel is very clean with friendly staff, would definitely stay here again

The hotel was very clean and we had a towel change everyday. The breakfast was varied and delicious with freshly made omelettes as a choice. The staff were friendly and polite.

Don’t stay here unless you want a horrible trip. Me and my partner were very excited for our holiday here as we had stayed in Belamedena previously and wanted to try Fueingirola. We chose this hotel due to the beautiful looking rooftop pool and what looked like nice interior. I’ll start with the positives, the location is good and the view from the rooftop is nice, that’s about it. From the day we came to the hotel it was clear that this was not going to be a very pleasant trip. The reception staff were nice but when we got to the room it appeared quite dated - not like the pictures- and actual chunks of balcony were missing (pictures included) as they were from many balcony’s. The floor appeared to be lino which was peeling and the beds are like sleeping on bricks. We went up to the rooftop to be greeted by the rudest staff I’ve ever come across in my life. There is nothing but rules up there and it is very clear that they value the guests that visit for a drink during the day or evening over their actual hotel guests. You cannot sit on the soft chairs in swimwear even if you are completely dry and wearing a cover up. Instead they drag a plastic chair over and make you sit on that. Secondly, you cannot eat any of your own food or drink up here - including your own water. You must purchase it from their expensive bar. I even saw this one particular blonde waitress grab grapes out of a child’s hand and told the mother she had to leave if the child wanted grapes. This is insane behaviour and how this woman still has a job is beyond me, she was rude to all the guests and everyone around us were complaining. We moved a deck chair which keep in mind was not blocking anything and they came over shouting at us to put it back. It was so incredibly unwelcoming to the point we ended up spending time at our friends hotel instead and having beach days. This wouldn’t have been minded as much had there been somewhere else to relax I.e another pool or deck but this is the only pool and the fact that guests cannot even drink their own water up here after paying money to be there is insanity. If the rooftop pool is what is enticing you to stay here, I would recommend booking a different hotel and coming in the evening for a drink and the views. I’m really not one to complain but we truly couldn’t wait to get out of this hotel. The staff on the rooftop pool need a serious revamp and the hotel should consider prioritising their hotel guests needs over visitors.
