Its a really great hotel right on the beach! The staff are really nice and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I have gotten in a long time on any hotel. Its a bit fun that its round and you have 3 elevators going up to you but its actually genial because you dont have tons of people going back and forth on the hallway to all the other rooms all night. Im always travelling with my son and dont party at night and want to go to bed before 23.. We were only on 2. Floor and had a colony of seagulls right outside the window but they didn't scream at all.
You can buy a parking in a basement 3 streets away but it only takes 5 min from the hotel.
We are coming back!
Thank you for a great week!!

Dear Madam,
We are pleased to receive your favorable review.

We are thrilled to know you had a wonderful stay with us at Hotel El Puerto by Pierre & Vacances.

We are delighted that our team’s warm service and the breakfast selection made your mornings special. Our unique circular layout, designed to enhance privacy and reduce hallway traffic, seems to have contributed to your restful nights.

The beachfront location and peaceful environment of your room also allowed you to fully enjoy your time with your son.

We look forward to seeing you again.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone coming into the area. However I would like to highlight that the resident pool area does not allow you to bring your own soft drinks to the sun loungers. I understand this due to the bar but was never an issue in other hotels.

The rooms are lovely and the views especially on the upper levels are phenomenal.
Not to mention there is an Ale Hop in the lobby.

The hotel is located near all the busy areas so you have an abundance of places to go.

Dear Sean,
Thank you for sharing this review.

We are thrilled you had a wonderful experience with us and that our seafront location along with your room's views and the Ale Hop in our lobby enhanced your visit.

That said, we maintain our pool policy to support our Sky Bar’s operations, and we appreciate your understanding.

Nonetheless, we hope our private parking added ease to your travels.

It would be a pleasure to welcome you back again.
Best wishes,

2nd time staying here and it is a great hotel and good location. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Special mention to Sabrina at reception she is very polite and cheery and was great assistance with our request to move room to a front facing room?.
Only issue was the pool area not opening till 11am and having to wait in a big Q to get in from around 10:30am in order to be able to get a sunlounger. It then didn’t actually get opened until 11:20am one day after someone else waiting called reception and had to ask for it to be opened. There also isn’t a lot of beds so if you aren’t in the Q early enough then you don’t get a bed. We stayed for a week and had to go to the beach most days as there was no beds left at the pool. It would be better if there was more sun loungers and less seating area at the other side. (We last stayed in October so it wasn’t as busy so didn’t have this issue however with it being July it was a lot busier.)
The bar/snackbar at the pool was also closed the full week we were there.
The hotel overall is great though & I would recommend?

Dear Ms Doyle,
Thank you for reviewing your stay with us.

We’re delighted you chose to stay with us again and appreciated our spacious rooms. It’s our pleasure to hear Sabrina’s cheerful support made your room change seamless, as our team always aims to accommodate guest preferences.

That said, we’re sincerely sorry some aspects of your stay fell short. We regret the delays and limited availability you experienced at the pool area, and we’ve shared your feedback about sun lounger capacity with our operations team. While our rooftop pool typically opens at noon seasonally, we’ll reinforce timely access protocols. The temporary closure of the poolside bar during your visit is also noted for review.

Nonetheless, we’re glad our central position near Fuengirola’s beaches and promenade added convenience to your stay. Your recommendation means much to us.

We hope that you will stay with us again in the future.
Best wishes,

**THE WORST HOTEL IN ALL OF FUENGIROLA,PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!**

This is going to be a long and detailed story of our visit to hotel el Puerto with my girlfriend and I,
1) we arrived on the Friday and was greeted by friendly staff who gave us an option of looking at different rooms in each of the both towers where the hotel is located. We decided to stay at the pool side tower on level one because it seemed more secure and safer and the room was more spacious. We were loving the hotel up to day 3.

2) on night 2 when we came home from dinner and drinks we discovered something was off and someone had been in our room, there was a big poo made on the floor of our room and it was smeered all over the walls and one of my girlfriends t-shirts was used to wipe up, I know this is gross but this is what happened! It was all over the curtains, the walls, the floor and all over the shower door.

3) we went down to reception to report it and they didn't even seem shocked like it wasn't the first time something like this happened, we didn't want a big fuss about it and we just wanted a new room on a safer level which they would have probably done until two managers came to speak to us.

4) The managers spoke to us in a strict way saying nobody has access to the room but us so they were heavily insinuating that we made the poo in our own room and rubbed it over the walls in a room where we are sleeping... Like what the hell!!! No remorse showing at all.

5) One of the managers let slip that the cleaning staff reported a poo outside our door aswel but just cleaned it up not knowing there was poo everywhere inside the room aswel, like why would we do that to our own room??

6) instead of being remorseful and just changing our room they kept implying they've seen this kind of things many times and were implying it was us consistently throughout the conversation even do there are no cameras (CCTV) in the lobby where the rooms are. Very strange they don't have cameras but anyway.

7) they insisted we stay in the room and pay them 50 euro to clean the poo in our room up, I felt sorry for their staff to do this but I wasn't paying a cent because it wasn't our fault, most likely someone broke in and did it as a dare in my opinion.

We couldn't come to any common ground in the conversation about moving the room as they were adamant they're hotel is security safe and there are no break ins or robberies in any of there rooms even do most of the reviews of people who have stayed there claimed to have things stolen.

8) we ended up changing hotels entirely just to feel safe, as the room wasn't even cleaned to 70% and there was still poo all over the walls. This has left us out of pocket getting a new hotel but we just wanted to feel safe and be far away from that hotel and ride managers.

9) just said I'd share this story for others to completely avoid this hotel and don't go anywhere near it if they want a good holiday.

Dear Mr. Hanrahan,

We don't agree with anything you're saying.

However, we would like to clarify some points in your comment.

Our internal investigation, which is carried out by protocol for every client where an incident occurs, showed that there was no other option but you.

You were asked to pay for an additional cleaning service, as the poor condition of the room required it.

Sincerely,

José Luis Saíz

If this hotel was like 80€ a night, i would for sure give it 5*. But at more than 200€ a night, some basic standards are expected.

Negative:
1. room was very dirty when we arrived . Stains and litter on floor, hair on sheet and bunch/ pile hair in the shower in the drainage and above it.

2. Hotel is outdated . I do not even want to imagine what it used to look before the so called "renovation". Balconies and furniture is even more outdated.

3. Attitude of staff at reception is, not on the level, mildly said. I've spoken to 3 of them at reception. Rather young woman didn't even say "welcome" at the check in, nor apologized for such a long wait (like 40mins) because of the long queue. Yes she did her job (checked us in), but as a receptionist sometimes you should also think for a second how a customer feels or at least a smile would be enough.

Positive:
1. breakfast (and also dinner ) was very good. I liked especially the fresh made omelets that were made in front of me according to my order . A very very kind chef made omelets made me delicious omelets, her name started with letter A if i recall correctly. She was very kind and smiled a lot.

2. Location is not just okay but PERFECT. Just across the street and you are on the beach within seconds. Everything is nearby. McDonald / KFC / burger king like 1-2mins away. Bus 5mins away. Street with super vibe.

Also note worthy, a young tall blonde employee at breakfast reception was kind, she even offered us a coffee to go.

That being said, i would definitely recommend the hotel it if it was priced accordingly. But with this pricing, i recommend going elsewhere.

Dear Mr. Korošec,
Thank you for reviewing your stay with us.

We are delighted you enjoyed the breakfast and dinner offerings, particularly the freshly prepared omelets. Our culinary team takes pride in creating memorable dining experiences, and we will share your kind words with Chef A and her colleagues.

We sincerely apologize that your experience fell short in some areas. Our team strives to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service, and we are addressing your feedback internally. Recent updates to our facilities, including renovated elevators and common areas, reflect our commitment to continuous improvement.

Finally, we are pleased our central location provided easy access to the beach and nearby amenities. It was our pleasure to have you with us, and we trust the convenience of being steps from the coast added value to your stay.

We hope that you will allow us the opportunity to welcome you back in future.
