5 stars because value for money is undeniably 5 stars!
If you are first time in VT you might be suprised with basic level accomodation and leave unfair ratings, as if you compared it with luxury accomodation for 5x the money. But for the price this place is hard to beat, if not impossible. Clean, functional, great view, very good ski in/out (note: for ski-in you need to take Pionniers chair and Corniche red piste, otherwise you need to walk uphill 50m). No luxury, true, but the same as 50% of VT, and if you came to ski and not break the bank, this is it. And very soon you will start feel like home. We are no strangers to luxury but we became cozy in 2 days.

Very good location ski in/out bit of a red run to ski in very polite staff

Perfect location for ski-in ski-out of the pistes at Val Thorens and amazing views to the southwest of the mountains. Relatively old hotel but cool!

Basic and small but very convenient

The rooms are minimalistic. There are no pantry or toiletry items at all. Bring your own trash bin liners, detergent, salt, toilet paper etc. They provide fresh sheets and towels and two tea towels every Sunday on request (you fill in a form from reception), but make up your own beds when you arrive and thereafter. Clean your own rooms. A vacuum is provided but no other cleaning agents. Dishwasher but buy your own tablets. No laundry facilities. There is a coin-operated launderette on the main road just down from the church/social hall. No credit cards. €6 per load. Accepts €1 and €2 coins. 50c for laundry powder from the machine there -accepts a variety of coins. Ski in (if you are a reasonable skier-otherwise there is a short distance to walk) and ski out.
