«Great value accommodation right on the slopes.»
These apartments are directly on the piste which leads down to Bergerie lift from which you can get every where. Parking is available just across the slope but loading/unloading can be done at front entrance to apartments. Telebus cable car from plagne village (just across the slope) takes you to plagne centre which is useful for the evenings out. Apartment has fridge/freezer, 2 ring hob, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher. Cutler and crockery supplied but chopping knives not great. Ski hire from ski set or intersport which are both close by. A few bars/restaurants in plagne soleil and some evening entertainment for kids in the village square. For a greater variety easily head over to plagne centre. Sledging for kids on the gentle blue run just outside the hotel is great fun in the evenings.
We rented a 4-to-5 people flat at a cost of £300/night, with 2 adults and 3 children (6, 11, 17) The flat was located on the far right of Building B (one of two buildings), under the slanted roof with limited ceiling height everywhere in the flat. It wasn’t possible to stand in the tiny shower, nor walk around the double bed. Finding enough space to put down our suitcases was rather challenging. As for the 3 additional sofa-beds in the living area, there are rather flimsy. I could have lived with it if the flat had been in good shape. But it was both drab and dirty, contributing to the overall feeling of being ripped off. There is a local SPAR and yes it’s expensive, so would advise you come ready with supply for at least two breakfast/dinner. There is a large supermarket (Leclerc) in Aime-la-Plagne, a 16km ride down the valley. Allow 30min to get to it at least. Then all sorts of small but irritating things from the staff. They would only provide a single roll of toilet paper and a bin bag which is barely strong enouh to support its own weight. They would only take order for the Boulangerie one day at a time. The basic and free WIFI was so slow, it was simply unworkable. So not a place we were looking forward to going back to every day. Yes it’s relatively well located, on the blue run with access to La Bergerie, but la Plagne Bellecote with its 3 chair lifts is a better place. No, we won’t go back.
«Perfect for skiers needs and great value»
Had stayed in hotel in Plagne Centre in the past and decided to go self catering at lower cost and stay on hols longer (10 days instead of usual week). Apartment was much better than expected, clean tidy, well equipped, quiet and warm. Well equipped kitchen, separate toilet and bathroom which was handy. TV was a bit small and only french channels to be found, but had complimentary wifi so streamed UK programmes anyway. Genuinely ski in/out. Exit ski locker room (locker included) ski's on and off you go. The run right outside the building is a nice leg warmer in the mornings though can get busy with walkers, sleds and dogs. I am sure we will go again as Plagne Soleil is a great spot to ski from.
«Everything we wanted!»
Well equipped apartments in a great ski in/out location. Close to bars and supermarket. Surprisingly spacious and well laid out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only slight gripe, was there was a lot of shouting outside at night as the nearby bars emptied in the early hours..... but nothing too serious, usually quietened down with 1/2 hour. A great find would definitely recommend.
overall good. We had a very nice stay. At the reception games were avilable. The bread is of a good quality. The matrasses are very firm but the overall quality of the furniture is o.k. Ventilation in the kitchen must be installed.
