Really disappointed. Made a mistake when booking through Booking.com. Contacted both Booking.com and you immediately. Booking.com promised cancellation and a full refund. But you refused, so I had to pay 165 euros for not even staying at the place. Even though the mistake was discovered immediately. Instead of refunding me and making a new, correct booking, you stole my money. Terrible, I will never recommend you to anyone. Money is more important to you than helping and providing service.
0 out of 10 from me.

I read the reviews before travelling however we were still very unprepared how little this hotel caters for the British. I wouldn't recommend for any English families unless you are happy to be in bed early every evening with little entertainment and barely anyone to speak to throughout the day.

The staff here do not speak English, going for food at the hotel is incredibly difficult, we went to the restaurant the first night and avoided the rest of our stay, the food is what you'd expect of an all inclusive hotel. The service at the bar is snail pace despite no queue, just very slow.

The shop keeper speaks English ok and is welcoming however will often stick a 'back in 5 minutes sign up' 20 minutes before the shop closes for the whole afternoon ? 1pm - 5pm the shop is shut so you need to make sure you've got all your snacks before 1pm or take a 10 minute drive to the supermarket.

We stayed here for 10 nights, our room was not cleaned once in this time, not even bedding changed, it's more like an air b&b where you are expected to do all these things yourself, we had a carrier bag of fresh towels dumped at the door half way through our stay.

Our plan was to go out for tea in an evening and then come back to the hotel for a couple of drinks and some evening entertainment as we usually do on holidays, however the bar is not besides the entertainment stage, the entertainment is catered to Spanish, barely enjoyable and its all packed up and away by 11pm every night including the bar.

The port has lots of lovely restaurants for evening meals, it costs around €10 in a taxi to the port, all well if there's 4 or less of you but if you are a family of 5 then you'll need 2 taxis costing around €45 to get there and back, or you drive but then one of you can't have a drink, we are by no means big drinkers but we like to relax and have a couple in an evening on holiday. Parking at the port is fine during the week but weekends are impossible with all the locals out too. There is some entertainment at various bars on weekends but it's mostly quiet weeknights, you'll find a bar with music but not much else going on.

Parking at the hotel is €5 per day, they will ask you if you have a car at check in, however the parking doesn't appear to be monitored in any way and I'm not sure how they would even know if you parked without paying.

The room is spacious and clean on arrival, doesn't take long for the ants and silverfish to arrive though. Lovely views from the hotel, the kitchen has a fridge/freezer, hob and microwave, you will also have a kettle and can ask for a toaster from reception but no oven which did limit us with fussy children who prefer oven foods. Complimentary shampoo and body wash in the showers.

No floats are allowed in the pool, (despite no signage anywhere around the pool or mention of this on their website) our children like to float around in a rubber ring, this was ok for 5 days and then suddenly on day 6 when the weekend lifeguard arrived it became an issue as apparently they are not allowed. The weekday lifeguard was excellent, constantly aware walking around the pool and keeping watch however the weekend lifeguard who decided our floats weren't allowed speaks 0 English so you will have a very frustrating discussion to and throw before resorting to communicating via Google translate on your mobile phone, incredibly frustrating. We did manage to get this rule wavered for ourself due to the hotels mistake in implementing this rule throughout our stay but this needed to be dealt with via a manger at reception who thankfully did speak English well and then we were clearly the odd ones out so we chose to go elsewhere for our final days and avoid the pool altogether.

I appreciate this is Spain not England but I've never been on a holiday before where so little staff can communicate with their customers, your room doesn't even get cleaned, the shop closes all afternoon and different staff follow different rules around the pool.

Dear Kristie
Thank you for sharing your opinion after your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol

We're pleased you appreciated the spacious layout of your apartment and the lovely views from your terrace, which showcase our unique setting overlooking the Rock of Gibraltar.

However, we sincerely apologize that your experience fell short in certain areas. Our housekeeping team follows a schedule of refreshing rooms every fourth day during weekly stays, though we regret any confusion about this policy. Regarding pool safety, we continuously review our procedures to ensure consistent communication about floatation devices while maintaining safety standards. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience for all our guests, and your feedback is valuable in helping us achieve that.

Nonetheless, we're glad you found our supermarket convenient for morning provisions and appreciated our reception manager's assistance in resolving the pool matter.

We hope that you will allow us the opportunity to welcome you back in future.
Best regards,

Nice place if your looking for isolation but otherwise you’ll need to rent a car or be content paying for expensive taxi journeys

It's a great place for holidays. Location wise it's one hour to Malaga Airport that's not close. It also not so close to the cities or towns, so you definitely need to rent a car. But if you have your transport then it's very close to Gibraltar and Marbella. There are many beautiful beaches nearby.
The biggest downside is their food. The restaurant food was horrible.

The place definitely has seen better days. Great view though and quiet location. No room service and only one choice of restaurant.
