One of the worst hotels I've stayed in, in 30 years of travelling. First of all, the bedroom and living room absolutely stank, constantly. It was like a putrid bin smell, we removed every bin bag and it was still the same, even after the cleaner had cleaned the room. It wasn't her fault, just to be clear.

The room is very dated, furnishings creak. The washing machine was broken so we had to wait for it to be repaired until we could wash our towels. But the absolute worst thing about the room other than the smell, are the beds. They are like as if someone had put a sheet over the pavement. They are ridiculously uncomfortable. We instantly moved to the sofa bed which was slightly less uncomfortable, but we were waking up with knee, neck and shoulder pains I never thought were possible!

Late checkout was advertised in the lift. I kept asking about it and kept getting the same response "ask tomorrow". So on the last morning I asked again only to hear, "we are too busy, it is not possible".

My dad lives in Benalmadena and we have visited him every year for the past 17 years. This is easily the worst hotel we've stayed at.

Arrived on Sunday.
Our 2 Rooms were not ready on arrival.
We were offered a pool view with sun for an 65€.supplement,each room.
Rather than wait until 5pm we took 1 room.
The other room became available at 4pm.
We were not offered a key for the safe on arrival.
We asked for a key once we had discovered that the safe was not a digital one.
The other room were told that safe keys were not available until the following day!
The rooms are fairly out dated and in need of an up grade.
The sun is only on our patio for 3 hours in the afternoon. Of course, we dont get the benefit as we are not in the room during this time. It's not worth paying 65€ for. Tbh the view is better on the otherside of the hotel, you get early morning sun and no €65 supplement to pay.
I dont normally write reviews until we are home as I would like to give the holiday a full overall review at the end but I am so annoyed this morning.
I came down to the pool at 9.51am.
I sat at the table and chairs for a few minutes and the walked over to the sun loungers.
I was whistled at by the pool cleaner, when ilooked over he pointed to his watch to indicate that the pool was still closed.
I walked back to the searing area and sat down.
Literally 1 minute later, a Spanish man walked to the sun lounger and placed his towel on it. The pool cleaner chose to ignore this.
At 9.56 the poolcleaner whistled me again and gave me a hand signal to move from the seating area.
Why? For a few minutes, I wouldn't have minded if it was 30 minutes early, but 3 or 4 minutes. Ridiculous! The pool cleaner was grumpy on Monday but evenmore grumpy today!
Wonder if he gets grumpier everyday?
Needs some happy pills.....
Plus my son-in-law got stuck in the lift.

We arrived a little earlier than expected however reception found us a room we could move into straight away. It was a very spacious and well equipped room. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed along with a huge fridge and freezer. The shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom are gorgeous. There is a good store next door so very handy. The pool was a good size with plenty of sunbeds. There is a pool bar and cafe on site. The location is perfect and only a few minutes walk to the beach, bus stop and lots of bars and restaurants. We were more than happy with our stay. The communal areas are very clean and well kept. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and it would be our first choice.

Had to pay a deposit £173 (which was not stated beforehand) and I still have not received it back.. (even though it was just me staying there and I looked after the place) cannot get through to the front desk to question why that is… same happened to another friend staying there! Absolute joke of a hotel won’t be going back
