We have skied many times in Avoriaz over last 40 years. The quality of accommodation, the fantastic organisation of the resort, the varied, interesting and well maintained ski area and excellent supermarkets are all to be highly recommended. It is a great resort for all abilities.

Chalet was small (for a family of 4) but good value for money. Service was largely very good, depending on who you spoke to. Overall it was excellent, except for one minor but irritating thing: the ski and snowboard boot drying in the lockers was not good enough at all. Unless you add more time to the boot drying machine, next time I will simply be taking all of our boots back to the chalet to dry them out near a radiator. Our boots got progressively wetter through the week and we completely soaked on the last day. But otherwise it was great and we would definitely come again. Thank you!

Very good overall - a couple of negatives...our toilet had a smell from the drains for the whole period of our stay. It wasn't terrible but wasn't good either. We requested some extra pillows on our first night around 8pm - they arrived nearer Midnight which was far too late. In fact there were pillows in a cupboard which we hadn't seen when we first arrived.

Great location. Very expensive for a one bedroom apartment. Too small to sleep two adults and two teenagers. Towels were poor quality. We requested extra pillows and one more cereal bowl on our first day - nothing arrived.

Reception staff are terrible, really rude and cannot / do not know how to handle customer issues / escalations. They become very defensive, aggressive and argumentative.

Late check-in at 8pm, no apology. Meant to be able to check in at 5pm. But rather than apologising they just became pedantic over the wording, "from 5pm", which apparently did not mean we should expect to be able to check in at 5pm but that it could be at any time during the course of the evening. Not ideal when you have already been to the supermarket whilst waiting and have 10 pieces of luggage in an unlocked luggage room (accessible externally), rented skis that you have had to collect before the hire shop closes .... reception staff refused to give us any guidance on when we could expect to be in our apartments.

On check-in day there was a group of cleaners who were drunk, one was so drunk they were falling into lifts with customers. Perhaps this led to the delay ?

We asked to speak to the Manager but he hid at the back of Reception.

Our apartment was a really good size for family of four. The bathrooms were clean. There was a lot of dust in the living room. The kitchen is equipped well enough for our needs. The balcony was brilliant with great views. The dishwasher doesn't work well.

The apartment location is fantastic, ski in & ski out. A little tricky to get little ones to ski school on the first couple of days but once they have mastered their balance it's not too bad.

The boot room heaters did not work during the entire week so we had damp boots and helmets every day and also misty goggles (until we realised and took goggle upstairs to dry).Did not see anyone trying to fix them.

Ordered bread with reception and we did not get it but were charged for it on check-out.

Before you check out you have to take off all your bedding and put in a bag and clean your kitchen - this does not reflect a 4 star establishment or service.

We are sorry to hear about the challenges you faced, especially with the reception staff and the check-in process, Steph. Your comments regarding the staff's behavior and the late check-in are concerning and will be addressed immediately to ensure better service in the future. It's also alarming to hear about the drunk cleaners and the unhelpful reception staff. This is not the standard we strive for, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

We are pleased that you found your apartment spacious and clean, with great views and a well-equipped kitchen. However, the issues with dust, the dishwasher, and the non-functioning boot room heaters are not acceptable. We will work on improving these areas.

The ski-in/ski-out location is indeed a highlight, and we're glad you enjoyed it despite the initial difficulty with getting your little ones to ski school.

We also apologize for the oversight with your bread order and the additional charge at check-out. This should not have happened, and we will review our processes to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The requirement to remove bedding and clean the kitchen before check-out is standard procedure to maintain cleanliness, but we understand it can be inconvenient. We will consider your feedback to enhance our service.
