Im Mai waren wir mit unserer Klasse für mehrere Tage in diesem Hotel und leider waren besonders die Viererzimmer eine riesige Enttäuschung. Schon beim Betreten des Zimmers fiel auf, wie extrem klein alles ist. Direkt im fensterlosen Eingangsbereich stand ein altes Stockbett, wodurch das Zimmer eher wie eine enge Jugendherberge als wie ein normales Hotelzimmer wirkte. Für vier Personen gab es kaum Platz, weder zum Bewegen noch zum Verstauen von Kleidung oder Koffern. Der einzige kleine Schrank, den es gab, war bereits fast vollständig mit einem Staubsauger ausgefüllt.

Auch das Badezimmer war in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Es wirkte alt, ungepflegt und teilweise verschimmelt. Zusätzlich gab es bei der Duschbadewanne nicht einmal einen Duschvorhang oder eine vernünftige Abtrennung, wodurch beim Duschen alles nass wurde. Im gesamten Viererzimmer gab es außerdem nur eine einzige Rolle Klopapier, was für vier Personen über mehrere Tage einfach unangemessen ist.

Allgemein sah das gesamte Viererzimmer deutlich heruntergekommener aus als auf den Bildern im Internet. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass andere kleinere Zimmer moderner und renovierter wirkten, während die Viererzimmer offensichtlich nicht erneuert wurden.
Dazu kamen die langen, dunklen Flure, aus denen teilweise unangenehme Geräusche sowie lautes Stöhnen oder schweres Atmen zu hören waren.

Insgesamt wirkt vieles stark in die Jahre gekommen und nicht so, wie es online dargestellt wird. Privat würden wir auf jeden Fall nicht wiederkommen.

Nie wieder

Beautiful residence ideally located, 5 minutes from the port and the center of La Rochelle. A pleasant swimming pool to cool off after a hot day, although the space around the pool is a bit limited. The lovely room was well-equipped and nicely decorated; the only slight drawback was the very small size of the shower room, and the heat in the room and the rest of the property, which lacked ventilation or a cooling system. All the reception staff we dealt with, both on the phone and at reception, were very friendly and helpful.
We would gladly return to this establishment on a future stay in La Rochelle and highly recommend it.

The residence is ideally located just a short walk from the old port. Parking is paid on the surrounding streets, so remember to reserve a parking space when you book.

The staff is pleasant and friendly.

The pool isn't new, but it's a nice touch for cooling off.
The apartment is functional and equipped with a fan and a roller shutter. Facing south, the temperature reached 30°C at night despite the patio doors being wide open. There was no ventilation except by opening the door to create a draft. I had to cut my stay short because it was impossible to sleep in such heat.
Air conditioning seems necessary, even essential, for the comfort of residents, especially during heat waves. The heat in the apartment ruined my vacation!

Excellent weekend at the residence. We received a wonderful welcome, excellent service, and helpful advice. The small studio was clean and functional, with a small balcony.

The absolute best thing about it is the location. Just steps from the old port. We didn't even need to use the car.

The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in such a lovely establishment.
