We spent a week in P&V Eos over New Year, taking three children (9, 10 & 12) skiing for the first time, staying in a 2 bedroom "exceptional" apartment. Overall the holiday was great and we'd happily recommend the place. The apartment was fine for 5 of us, but would be a squeeze if there 6 adults. The quality of the accommodation itself was excellent and we had no issues with the apartment. The property is located a 15 minute walk down hill to Flaine, but there is a regular bus during the day and a mini bus at night on request (we generally walked both ways, which even with kids in tow was fine). The property is ski in and ski out, so access to the slopes is straight forward. There are some things that weren't quite right and could be improved: Check in - was slightly chaotic and stressful for us, with a lack of proper information given about a number of things; but I think this was an issue with an individual, as all other interactions with reception were very positive. Ski equipment hire - One of our check in issues, as we had booked equipment through P&V - we were not correctly advised how/where to get our equipment, nor given the voucher and so ended up traipsing around Flaine (after an 8 hour drive, with kids in tow.). What is also strange is that the hire shop used by Eos is at the bottom of Flaine - when their sister hotel next door (Hellios) has a ski hire shop. It would make life much easier if the equipment could have been picked up from the neighbouring hotel. Wifi - We found it to be complicated to connect, poor quality and constantly losing connection. Access is now a fact of life and so P&V improving this would make a difference to many customers (specifically those with children) Pool/Jacuzzi - Small and so very busy from 4pm - but making it bigger obviously not that easy. Personally we liked the relaxed attitude towards kids being allowed in the Jacuzzi - others may not agree. We didn't use the hotel restaurant - we did drink in the bar one night and it was nice enough (although the pool queues are the worst I have ever seen)
Superb Hotel would stay here again! The Staff are a credit to Pierre Vacances. The room was very clean the view we had ( superior room) was second the none. The only negative was the WIFI kept kicking out every day but that was such a minor thing! The Location is superb I would stay here again and Im booking to stay here in the winter! Well Done EOS!
It was a nice experience, hotel with good facilities for children,as well as the whole village. Staff very friendly,it was very good that we could order bread at the receptio for the next day.I didn't like that in 15 nights of stay, they changed our towels only twice and that the pool and spa area was always overcrowded
We were family of 3 (12 year old daughter) & stayed in 2 bedroom apartment listed as being able to cope with six, so not surprising that we found the accommodation spacious & well equipped for cooking & holiday in general. Nice large TV with BBC & ITV Accessed from green (tiny bit of blue) piste that services 2-3 hotels only & was fine whilst we were there, but I wonder if out of core season may become difficult to navigate with lack of snow. Feels far more up market than previous self-catering ski resorts I have stayed at & 24 hour reception staff were always on hand. Two elements would have made this 5 star for me- 1) We skied on last day & having surrendered room at appropriate time & having been told twice that a courtesy room would be available, later in the day when we returned from the slopes to shower & change before our flight home, we were then told their were no rooms available & apparently I had "miss understood" - which I refute in the strongest terms 2) Whilst day to day you can ski to / from door, you need to catch bus to / from ski hire shop (c15min walk in boots / with kit) & then to / from the slopes as there is no inhouse or close shop at start & end of holiday.
Our second visit to this property for a family ski holiday Rooms very clean and well equipped, we had a 3 room (2 bed) apartment for 4 adults Restaurant on ground floor, L'Eterlou food was perfect Great having accessible heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc. Staff very friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend and return
