A magnificent place, a beautiful, calm, and pleasant spot!

The pools are fantastic.

Exceptional location poorly utilized as the dwelling is too small and cramped.

We spent two weeks at the Pierre & Vacances "Résidence Le Green Beach" in Normandy. The resort has undeniable advantages for families, but several issues with cleanliness and facilities unfortunately impacted the overall experience.

What we appreciated:

- Leisure facilities: The common areas are well-designed with numerous activities available, such as pétanque, table tennis, badminton, a play area, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as board games available at reception. The area around the pool remains spacious and there is always room to move around. The presence of food trucks in the evenings is also a very nice touch.

- Comfort, amenities, and safety of the accommodation: The beds were comfortable. The presence of a dishwasher in the rental was a real plus for everyday use, as was the safety gate at the top of the stairs, which was very reassuring with young children.

- Location and amenities: The region offers great outings, including the possibility of a golf lesson right next door. While a car remains essential, the residence is only 5 minutes from Port-en-Bessin, where you'll find a Super U supermarket and all the necessary shops. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a real convenience.

- Highly responsive and professional staff: The maintenance team is particularly efficient. At our request, the moldy shower head was replaced immediately, and the staff member took the opportunity to redo the sealant. Similarly, a broken clothesline was quickly replaced.

Areas for improvement:

- Cleanliness and linens: Cleaning should be much more thorough before guests arrive, as the linens provided had significant defects, including sheets with holes and stained towels, and the toilets were dirty and smelled bad.

- Outdated and out-of-service equipment: The accommodation is showing its age, and a simple coat of paint would give it a much fresher look. Several amenities were damaged upon our arrival, notably the safe, which was out of order and could not be replaced, while the kitchen equipment remained very basic. The communal laundry room was also undersized, with only two washing machines and two dryers for the entire property.

- Window security: While the windows have railings, a childproof locking system would provide parents with added peace of mind.

- Technical issues and the pool: We experienced a brief water outage during our stay. More disturbingly, a strong, irritating, and unpleasant odor emanated from the indoor pool for the last two days, leading us to avoid using it as a precaution for the children.

In conclusion: The setting is pleasant, and the staff does its best to respond to unforeseen problems, but considering the budget for two weeks, the services did not quite meet expectations. With a real effort on regular maintenance, hygiene and renovation of equipment, the residence would gain enormously in quality.
