    Cabo de Palos

    With its pretty seafront promenade, this picturesque fishing village on the Mediterranean Sea is a popular place to visit. It's also home to a historic lighthouse, which for many years, was used to train lighthouse keepers. The view from the top takes in the whole of La Manga. Today the town is a well known spot for diving and it attracts divers from all over the world. The road leading to Cabo de Palos offers a fine view of the typical landscapes of the Murcia region: fertile, sunny valleys that are perfect for growing fruit and vegetables.

    During your trip to Cartagena, visit the municipal archaeological museum. This space, founded in 1943 and situated on the site of the Roman necropolis, is the site that attracts the greatest number of visitors. This museum is not limited to the Roman necropolis; you can also discover a collection of ancient funeral inscriptions, as well as some pieces of Roman mining equipment (tools), crockery, ceramics or sculptures. There are also areas dedicated to Roman homes and business.
