Located on the protected site of the Landes de Ploumanac'h, among the scattered pink granite rocks overlooking the Pors Kamor Lighthouse, is the Maison du Littoral de Perros-Guirec or House of the Perros-Guirec Coast. This coastal venue plays host to exhibitions and events throughout the year, such as explorations of Breton heaths, workshops for children, modelling the topology of the channel of the port of Ploumanac'h, and learning about the minerals of Brittany.
The chapelle Notre-Dame de la Clarté, or Chapel of Our Lady of Clarity, in Perros-Guirec, is built in the Gothic style, in pink granite from Saint Samsom and La Clarté-Ploumanac'h. Its construction began in 1445 but continued until 1766 when the sacristy was founded.
Before entering, take the time to admire the lintel of the south portal, which includes a Descent from the Cross and the Annunciation. On the vaulted porch you will also notice sculptures representing St. Anne, Mary and the four Evangelists.
Inside, you'll discover that this luminous chapel is aptly named. You will also see a crucifix dating from the fifteenth century, many statues of saints, and a series of 14 paintings evoking the Way of the Cross, by the painter Maurice Denis.
