The residence is very well located, just a stone's throw from the old town center; no car is needed. The residence is clean and pleasant, as is the accommodation. Very comfortable bedding. Halfway between Amboise, Beauval, Chenonceau, and a host of charming villages and beautiful forests.
The big downside: the balconies are entirely glass! In hot weather and strong sun, they turn into a steam room: stifling. Even when opening the upper windows and the bedroom at the back, there's no airflow, and the reverberation is intense. As a result, the accommodation is also very hot.
Furthermore, the balconies act as echo chambers; it can be very noisy depending on the people around you, some of whom have no respect for others.
The pool is small, very good for children.

Very well-appointed apartment for 5 people in the Moulin building above the Indre. It is comfortable and well-located with a lovely view of the Logis Royal and the Porte des Cordeliers. Comfortable sofas. Very pleasant wooden table and chairs. Small kitchenette area well-equipped with a good supply of dishes. Pleasant bathroom with sink and bathtub. The toilet is separate. Lovely bedroom with a practical wall-mounted closet. The 140cm bed was very thick but too firm for us, which was a shame... a mattress topper would have been very practical.
Very welcoming receptionist. Another good point regarding the pastries ordering process. They have a lovely buttery flavor and are very flaky, a real delight!
Super convenient location at the foot of the royal city. Everything is within walking distance. There is also an outdoor parking lot that is easy to access and very convenient. Results: delighted with this residence. We will return as there are quite a few castles not too far from Loches.
