  • Lokrum Island

    Lokrum Island

The first mention of the Island of Lokrum goes back to 1023! It is even said that Richard the Lionheart stayed there. One of the things that makes this place so attractive is that has kept its authenticity. What's more, nature has been well-preserved here: the island was proclaimed a national reserve and a special reserve of forest vegetation.
This makes it a true haven of green, but one that is still home to a few buildings, including the fascinating ruins of a medieval Benedictine monastery and the fortress of Fort Royal in the shape of a star.
The island also has a botanical garden and a small lake called the "Dead Sea".

  • Katedrala Uznesenja Marijina

    Katedrala Uznesenja Marijina

Dubrovnik's Roman Catholic cathedral, the Cathedral of the Assumption, is home to the seat of the diocese of the Croatian capital. It was built on the site of several ancient cathedrals and was partially destroyed in the 1667 earthquake. It was to take almost three centuries for it to look as it does now. The façade has four Corinthian columns. A large baroque window is located above the central part.

  • Dominikanski Samostan

    Dominikanski Samostan

The Franciscan Convent of Dubrovnik is regarded as a masterpiece of Romanesque art. Built in 1337, it has a Romanesque cloister dating from the Renaissance that is open for visits. You will see many paintings beneath the four arched galleries. A library, closed to the public and which contains more than 30,000 works, is also part of the monastery. It is just like a small museum and is the oldest pharmacy in Europe, founded in 1360.

  • Stara Loza

    Stara Loza

Here, you will enjoy your meal in an exceptional setting. The Restaurant Stara Loza has a terrace on the rooftops of Dubrovnik which offers a magnificent view of the city. The dishes are refined and the wine menu is extremely varied. You can go there just for a glass of wine. Be aware that booking is essential if you want a table on the terrace.

  • Dubrovnik cable car

    Dubrovnik cable car

Destroyed during the War of Independence in 1991, the Dubrovnik cable car was rebuilt and has been in operation since 2010. Although its ascent and descent are fast, the magnificent view over the old town and the whole bay is well worth it. You will return with your head and your camera full of memories. The cable car leaves every 10 minutes. Once at the top, you can also enjoy lunch in the restaurant.
