  • Baths of the Hedionda

    Baths of the Hedionda

The Baths of the Hedionda form a swimming area measuring ??6 meters across, overhung by a hanging spherical vault and two barrel vaults.
These sulphurous and ferruginous baths are of Roman origin. They were then restored by the Moors who modified the original structure of the whole place.
This place, declared a cultural heritage site, possesses curative properties which can still be enjoyed today since it is possible to bathe there.

  • Casares Castle

    Casares Castle

Casares Castle stands on a limestone massif. And the views that await you when you reach the top are breathtaking. The ruins of this ancient, thirteenth-century Arab fortress are indeed beautiful. Admire the walled enclosure in the shape of an irregular polygon. This irregularity is due to the geology of the area: the southern, northern and western walls, in particular, follow the edge of a deep ravine - which formed a natural protection from possible attacks. As well as the enclosure, parts of the palace's walls and towers, located on the top of the plateau, are also conserved, and one of the towers now houses the ethno-history museum.
