    • Cavtat

      Cavtat

A small village of 2,000 inhabitants located 20 km south of Dubrovnik, Cavtat was founded by the Greeks. This makes it a historic place. Today, the village has become a very popular tourist location in Croatia. This is because Cavtat has many buildings to visit like the Capitan Palace, the fortifications, the fortified walls of the town, several squares, the Church of St. Nicholas, the Church of Our Lady of Cavtat and the Franciscan convent.

Under the arcades, you can admire numerous paintings. The monastery has its own library containing over 30,000 books, although this is not open to the public. You can however visit the small museum and the oldest pharmacy in Europe, dating from 1360.

    • Dubrovnik cable car

      Dubrovnik cable car

Destroyed during the War of Independence in 1991, the Dubrovnik cable car was rebuilt and has been in operation since 2010. Although its ascent and descent are fast, the magnificent view over the old town and the whole bay is well worth it. You will return with your head and your camera full of memories. The cable car leaves every 10 minutes. Once at the top, you can also enjoy lunch in the restaurant.

    • Fortress of Ston (Croatia)

      Fortress of Ston (Croatia)

The fortress of Ston was built in the 14th century, in an exceptional natural setting, between sea and mountains. You can also see the salt pans down below.
The town of Ston is best known for its walls, which are the longest fortification in Europe, and whose construction began in 1333 for the defence of the peninsula of Peljesac. If you make your way along the length of these fortifications, you will come across about forty watchtowers in total.
Another 890-meter rampart also surrounds the city.
