Nothing to avoid, everything is filthy. And don't even get me started on the awful smell. The pool is dirty, there's no security, our accommodation was broken into, and when we tried to call the emergency number reception gave us, they didn't answer. Luckily, Booking.com responded, and we went to file a complaint.
The next day, when we reported what happened, they simply told us to write to Pierre & Vacances because they don't handle incidents, only payments.

Two men were swimming naked in the morning as if it were normal. Supposedly, it's a family-friendly and secure residence—FALSE! It's just a cash cow. Once you pay, they don't care anymore; the main thing is they got your money.

On July 27, 2026, we were robbed in our accommodation.
Everything of value we had with us was stolen.
What makes this even more shocking is that we were staying at the same time as another family, whose Chanteau Frank family had the apartment diagonally below ours.

They also became victims during the same period, as did their neighbors across the street.

We can therefore confirm from our own experience that several families faced a serious safety issue during this period.

We were on vacation and trusted that our accommodation would be a safe place.

Instead, we were robbed and felt anything but safe during our vacation. We barricaded the front door before going to sleep; for our grandchildren, this was a traumatic experience.
We find it particularly concerning that guests who pay a lot of money for their stay do not receive the safety that one can reasonably expect.
Our experience has seriously damaged our trust in Pierre & Vacances. We advise other families to inform themselves very thoroughly about the safety situation before booking a stay here.

A residence to avoid

We were victims of a burglary on July 26th between 3:05 PM and 5:45 PM, while we were all at the beach. Three apartments located in the same building (Blancafort, 4th and 5th floors) were targeted simultaneously. All the apartments suffered the same type of break-in.

The apartment was entered without forced entry. Cash, brand-new perfumes still in their packaging, and other personal belongings were stolen.

We were left without any assistance from reception because we had sent them an email that same evening which went unanswered. We had to insist that the police be called, as this was not done immediately.

We also requested to view the security camera footage, which was refused. As the manager was absent, we were told that reception was not authorized to show us the footage and that he would not return until Tuesday evening.

The police also requested to view the images. They had to insist with reception to obtain the manager's contact information so that he would send the videos that same day. However, we were still not allowed to view them.

We finally met with the manager on Wednesday, July 29th, in a small room, without any formal introduction. The situation seemed unsatisfactory. He bluntly told us to leave, saying, "If I were you, I'd get out of here," which we found inappropriate in this context.

No apology was offered during this meeting.

We were forced to buy security cameras for our rental so that our children would feel safe.

This ruined our vacation.

Furthermore, on August 14th, a new receptionist who started this year mistakenly indicated that the parking fees had been reimbursed, which was incorrect. How could she possibly know what was stolen from us? This confusion has raised serious questions for us.

We do not recommend this residence.

We reported the situation to Pierre & Vacances Paris, and we are clearly not the only ones affected: four break-ins, including three burglaries, all on the same day. We hope a thorough investigation will be conducted quickly. Such a company cannot condone this kind of behavior, especially since the same thing happened last year, with the same modus operandi: break-ins (theft of cash and personal belongings). Five or more apartments were targeted in broad daylight on the day of our arrival.

One thing is certain: we will not return without a change in management.

We stayed as a family, and the residence is well located, 12 minutes from the town center and the beach.

The place is peaceful, surrounded by greenery, and we had a lovely view of the beautiful blue pool. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. It would be nice to have a few more sun loungers for those who want to sunbathe and a small bar for those who want to enjoy a refreshing drink or an ice cream. The apartment is comfortable and spacious with its two bathrooms, which is very convenient! It just needs a Nespresso machine and some decoration in the rooms. The staff is friendly. We had a great holiday in Salou.

Unfortunately, we are the fourth family to have been burglarized in Pierre & Vacances Salou accommodations this August 2026, and that only includes the cases we are aware of. How many other families have suffered the same fate without our knowledge?

It is simply shameful and completely unacceptable, especially considering the prices charged for these rentals. We pay for a peaceful and secure holiday, not to leave feeling abandoned after a burglary.

The most scandalous aspect of this situation is Pierre & Vacances' attitude, refusing to take responsibility. Instead of acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, the group is trying to downplay it and provide information that, in our experience, does not reflect reality.

To date, the only response from headquarters amounts to a simple apology. An apology is absolutely insufficient in the face of such a serious situation. Complaints have been filed, and we now expect responses and, above all, action.
