Organic swimming in Chantemerle is an innovative concept that allows us to develop an aquatic area while respecting the ecological environment. It is fed by a bore-hole made in the water table of the Guisane. The filtration basin, a true purifying system, consists of a garden of plants and pozzolanic ash.
Bathers thus feel that this bathing area of fresh water, perfectly integrated into the surrounding nature, gives them an ideal point for observing the surrounding landscapes.

In 1624 and 1692, two fires ravaged Briançon. Almost completely destroyed, the city was rebuilt within the walls of an enclosure designed by Vauban.
Cité Vauban features the Pinerolo Gate and a lift drawbridge. The battlements afford beautiful views of Briançon, its surroundings and the Alps. The city possesses a wealth of architectural heritage, like the Notre-Dame and Saint-Nicolas collegials, built between 1703 and 1726, featuring a sundial from the Cordeliers Convent and the Chapelle des Pénitents (Chapel of the Penitents).
It is pleasant to stroll through Cité Vauban's lively medieval streets lined with lots of shops, restaurants, craft specialists and souvenir shops.
