    • Armor Lux

      Armor Lux

Wallace Hubacher started the Armor Hosiery in 1938 - the brand was known as Armor lux.
He designed his first prêt-à-porter collections in 1970, an addition to his production of underwear and sailor's garb.
In 1993, two native Breton entrepreneurs, Jean-Guy Le Floch and Michel Gueguen, took over the company and create a line of children's clothes, Armor-Kids, in 1997.

A new factory was established in the Quimper area in 2004, and a year later Armor lux began a production of fair-trade cotton products, labelled by Max Mavelaar.
Today, the factory's boutique remains a favoured clothing shop among locals.

    • Belle-Ile-en-Mer

      Belle-Ile-en-Mer

Located 15 km offshore from Quiberon, in Brittany, Belle-Île, baptised Kalonessos (beautiful island) by the Greeks, is the largest of the Breton islands. At 84 km², it offers a wealth of places of interest and the island is a haven for wildlife.
A 20km-long plateau, the island has a central ridge with several glens leading off to “ports”, small beaches tucked away in deep bays.
Sarah Bernhardt, Gustave Flaubert, Claude Monet and many others succumbed to its charms.

The island, 17km by 9km, is both resolutely maritime and profoundly rustic.
Le Palais is the largest village on the island and Sauzon, with its natural harbour, is the prettiest with its pastel-coloured houses. The island's highest point, Locmaria, combines countryside with wild coastline.
