Premium residence Les Hauts Bois

I have to say that you can’t beat these apartments for convenience to the slopes and the view of Mont Blanc from our room was spectacular. With a car park outside, lift up to apt, a beautifully maintained spa and pool and lift down to locker room which goes straight out the door onto the piste! The apartments however are extremely dated compared to other accommodations we have stayed in, but functional and had the space we needed, the tiled floors in the main area kept the noise down but the laminate in the bedrooms made it incredibly noisy to walk around carefully at night. We booked a 2 bed + cabine (which is actually a 3 bed except the internal window opened onto the kitchen which was fine for us as a family of 6 ). We wanted everybody to have a bed and not to use the lounge as a bedroom. The location is great and worth putting up with the 1960s buildings if you’re there to make the most out of the skiing. Situated within lovely quiet runs just over the mountain in the area which did not get the ski school traffic that other parts of La Plagne had. One thing we were not told prior to booking is how many lifts up the side of the mountain you has to take to access the shops and and restaurants at Amie 2000….. beware it’s a mission with your Spar shopping bags!
