La Butte de César is a 18m high mound of a 56m diameter. This mass of stones, covering a layer of sludge and black soil, was explored in 1853. On the south-west section an open-cut excavation was opened out, leading, after a covered walkway rudiment, to a central chamber.
This is formed of three monolithic supports covered with a significant slab of quartz. The mound is testament to the important pastoral and agricultural tribes which lived around Le Tour du Golfe du Morbihan.
