Discover Tuscany

Tuscany is truly the heart of Italy. There are many things to discover in the region such as Florence, the amazing Renaissance town, the Tuscany countryside with its beautiful hills, the Tuscany cuisine, one of the most delicious in Italy, and of course its coastline.

A weekend in Elba

Elba is the largest island of the Tuscan archipelago and forms along with the other island the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago. Elba has been inhabited by the Romans and Estruscans but its most famous inhabitant was French Emperor Napoleon who was exiled there in 1814.
Located less than 2 hours from London, short breaks to Elba can be an amazing weekend beach getaway. With its crystal-clear and turquoise waters, its white beaches, the island is heaven on earth for all beach bum. There are more than 70 beaches on the island, with bays and little coves accessible only by sea, all of them are different, from the golden sand of Cottoncello beach to the white sand beach of Capo Bianco. Marina di Campo is a great beach for last minute Elba family beach breaks, with its shallow water, sandy beach and play area for children. Elba weekend breaks are also great to discover the traditional cuisine of the island with its incredible fresh seafood.  If you are looking for a cultural visit on the island, visit the Villa dei Mulini, the first residence that Napoleon bought on the island or the Villa San Martino, his second residence that he found by himself walking out one day on the island.
