The island of Korcula is about 47 kilometres long and is the second most populated island in Croatia.
It remains a very typical island since 97% of the population is Croat, so the area is a great location to discover the true Croatian traditions. The island offers a splendid coastline of bays and islets, with a rich Mediterranean vegetation. Often called the pearl of southern Dalmatia, the town of Korcula offers an incredible panorama, with its picturesque walled historic town (some walls are dating back to the 14th century), fishing villages and blue sea. The town is also famous for being the hometown of the great explorer Marco Polo.
